Job Description

At MedStar Health, we are looking for an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Radiology Preauthorization Associate to help provide exceptional patient care to our community. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the patient authorization process, ensuring all pre-authorization requirements are met, and coordinating with the patient, physicians, and insurance companies to obtain prior authorization.The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in the radiology field, strong customer service abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should also possess a strong knowledge of the preauthorization process, medical terminology, and insurance requirements. Responsibilites:

  1. Manage the patient authorization process, ensuring all pre-authorization requirements are met.
  2. Coordinate with the patient, physicians, and insurance companies to obtain prior authorization.

  4. Provide excellent customer service to patients.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and insurance companies.
  6. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
  7. Adhere to MedStar Health policies and procedures.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  9. Maintain accurate records of authorization process.
  10. Keep up-to-date with new regulations and insurance requirements.
