- Conduct initial assessments to evaluate patients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, to assist patients in managing their mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on coping strategies, self-care techniques, and available resources.
- Stay informed on new research and developments in the field of psychology and incorporate evidence-based practices into treatment plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all patient interactions.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care and coordinate services.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive treatment environment.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and billing departments to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services.
- Continuously strive to meet and exceed performance standards and quality measures set by MedStar Health.
- Attend trainings, workshops, and conferences to enhance skills and stay current with industry trends.
- Uphold and promote the mission and values of MedStar Health in all interactions.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing MedStar Health in the community.
Master's Degree In Psychology Or Related Field, With A Specialization In Psychotherapy.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Providing Psychotherapy To Individuals, Couples, And/Or Groups.
Licensure As A Psychotherapist In The State Of Employment.
Knowledge And Experience With Evidence-Based Practices Such As Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Or Psychodynamic Therapy.
Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Maintain Appropriate Boundaries With Clients.
