Responsibilities:

1. Act as a liaison between the pharmacist, medical staff, and patients.
2. Dispense medications and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
3. Compound medications and other pharmaceutical supplies according to orders and prescriptions.
4. Verify patient information and ensure accuracy of prescription orders.
5. Provide information regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
6. Maintain records of medications dispensed and inventory levels.
7. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
8. Assist with training and orienting new pharmacy technicians.
9. Stay up to date with the latest developments in pharmacy technology.
10. Adhere to all MedStar Health policies and procedures.
