Pharmacy Technician

Our Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining medication inventory, and providing excellent patient service. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients, be detail-oriented and have excellent customer service skills. We are looking for someone who has completed a pharmacy technician training program, is certified in the state of Maryland, and has at least one year of pharmacy technician experience. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with state regulations and MedStar Health policies.
• Monitor and maintain medication inventory levels.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, including answering any questions the patient may have about their medication.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the pharmacy.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations pertaining to pharmacy technicians.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medications dispensed.
• Assist pharmacists in providing medication information to patients.
• Assist with managing the workflow in the pharmacy.
• Assist with training new pharmacy technicians.
• Ensure the accuracy and security of all medication orders.
