Peer Recovery Coach

At MedStar Health, we are looking for an enthusiastic Peer Recovery Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about recovery and helping others, with a strong understanding of the challenges associated with addiction.The Peer Recovery Coach will be responsible for providing peer-based recovery support services to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build trust and rapport with clients, and a deep understanding of the recovery process.Our ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, or 5 years of direct experience in the field. In addition, the successful candidate should have a good understanding of the recovery process and experience providing peer recovery support. A certification in recovery coaching is preferred.The Peer Recovery Coach should be highly motivated and passionate about helping others achieve their goals. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to recovery, and the ability to be creative and flexible in their approach.
