Pediatric Patient Care Technician

MedStar Health is looking for an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Patient Care Technician to join our team and provide exceptional care to pediatric patients. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of pediatric care, as well as the ability to establish meaningful relationships with patients and their families. If you are a patient-focused professional with exceptional communication and patient care skills, then this is the role for you!Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED• At least two years of experience in the pediatric healthcare setting• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to show empathy and compassion to pediatric patients• Knowledgeable about pediatric patient care and procedures• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Current certification or license in Pediatric Patient Care Technician preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and caring pediatric patient care. • Assist patients and families in all aspects of their care. • Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures. • Monitor and report changes in patient condition. • Establish positive relationships with patients and their families. • Assist with patient assessments and record vital signs. • Document patient care activities accurately and timely. • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients. • Follow established protocols and procedures. • Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives. • Remain current on best practices and changes in pediatric patient care.
