  1. Provide high-quality healthcare services to pediatric patients under the supervision of a physician.
  2. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  3. Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
  4. Monitor and assess the health and development of pediatric patients and make appropriate referrals as needed.
  5. Educate families and caregivers on pediatric health and wellness, including disease prevention and management.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  7. Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards in the delivery of care.
  8. Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  9. Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for pediatric patients and their families.
  10. Act as a role model and mentor for other healthcare professionals in the pediatric department.
  11. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to promote pediatric health initiatives.
  12. Comply with all safety and infection control procedures.
  13. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
  14. Stay current on advancements and developments in pediatric healthcare.
  15. Adhere to all MedStar Health policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Pediatric Nurse Practitioner From An Accredited University.

  • Active And Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License In The State Of Maryland.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Pediatric Setting.

  • Certification As A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner From A Recognized Accrediting Body Such As The Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (Pncb) Or The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc).

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Diseases, Treatments, And Medications, As Well As Experience In Conducting Physical Exams, Diagnosing Illnesses, And Prescribing Medications.
