Job Description

The Patient Financial Associate at MedStar Health is a critical role that requires an individual with expertise in financial processes and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate for this position should have a working knowledge of medical billing and coding, patient accounts, and insurance regulations as well as a proven track record of providing high-level customer service. The Patient Financial Associate should possess strong communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We are looking for a reliable and friendly individual to join our team and ensure accurate and timely financial processing for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Process patient accounts accurately and in a timely manner
  • Manage patient billing and coding processes
  • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations
  • Maintain patient records and account information
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients
  • Respond to inquiries and provide financial assistance
  • Reconcile patient accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with other departments as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, staff, and insurance providers
  • Prepare financial reports and other documentation as needed
