Patient Care Technician

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join the team at MedStar Health. In this role, you will provide excellent care to our patients and help create a comfortable and safe environment for them. You will need to be an effective communicator and collaborator and have a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks. Responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician:

1. Provide excellent patient care in accordance with MedStar Health’s policies and procedures.
2. Assist in creating a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
3. Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team.
4. Utilize medical terminology and instructions to deliver patient care.
5. Perform basic medical office procedures as needed.
6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
7. Monitor vital signs and administer medications as needed.
8. Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
9. Assist patients with rehabilitation exercises and other therapies.
10. Respond to patient questions and concerns in a timely manner.
