- Lead and grow the palliative care program at MedStar Health.
- Provide expert clinical care and support to patients with serious illnesses and their families.
- Create and implement treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs and goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in palliative care to continuously improve the program.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and resources to enhance patient care.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for other physicians and healthcare professionals in the palliative care field.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members and provide feedback for growth and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Participate in fundraising and community outreach efforts to raise awareness and support for the palliative care program.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for patients.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and other healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication and coordinated care.
- Continuously assess and improve the program to meet the changing needs of patients and the healthcare industry.
- Represent MedStar Health and the palliative care program at conferences, seminars, and other events.

Medical Degree: A Successful Candidate For The Palliative Care - Medical Director Position At Medstar Health Should Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Expertise In The Medical Field To Lead A Palliative Care Team.
Board Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Hospice And Palliative Medicine Or In A Related Specialty Such As Internal Medicine Or Family Medicine. This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Proficiency And Experience In The Field Of Palliative Care.
Leadership Experience: The Medical Director Role At Medstar Health Requires Strong Leadership Skills.
