  1. Obtain prior authorization for oncology treatments and procedures from insurance companies.
  2. Review and verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients.
  3. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any coverage or authorization issues.
  4. Work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure treatment plans are covered by insurance.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of insurance authorizations and coverage.
  6. Educate patients and their families on insurance coverage and authorization processes.
  7. Stay updated on changes and updates in insurance policies and procedures.
  8. Collaborate with billing and coding teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of insurance claims.
  9. Advocate for patients' insurance coverage and assist in appeals process if necessary.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies.
  11. Participate in departmental meetings and trainings to stay informed on best practices and policies.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  13. Identify and report any potential issues or concerns related to insurance coverage.
  14. Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve prior authorization processes.
  15. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience In Prior Authorization, Preferably In An Oncology Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Insurance Policies And Procedures Related To Oncology Treatments.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Patients, Providers, And Insurance Companies.

  • Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment While Maintaining Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
