
Oncology Preauthorization & Office Manager

- Oversee all preauthorization processes for oncology treatments and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion to minimize delays in patient care.
- Serve as a liaison between the oncology department and insurance companies, advocating for patients and ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are obtained.
- Manage the daily operations of the oncology department, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff assignments.
- Develop and maintain efficient and organized office systems, including electronic medical records, appointment scheduling, and billing processes.
- Monitor and manage the office budget, including ordering supplies and equipment, and tracking expenses.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate office staff to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to department policies and procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve office processes to increase efficiency and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and streamline processes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry changes and advancements related to oncology preauthorization and office management, and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy and security regulations related to patient information.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as a role model for ethical and professional behavior, representing MedStar Health with integrity and dedication.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Preauthorization And Office Management In An Oncology Setting.
Knowledge Of Insurance Policies And Procedures, Specifically Related To Oncology Treatments And Procedures.
Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Effectively.
Experience With Electronic Medical Records And Billing Systems, As Well As Proficiency In Microsoft Office.
