Occupational Therapist - PRN Inpatient Adult

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist - PRN Inpatient Adult to join our dedicated team at MedStar Health. In this role, you will provide patient care to adults with physical and emotional disabilities, as well as consult with other healthcare providers in order to develop comprehensive treatment plans. You must possess a passion for providing quality care and have a strong desire to help patients achieve their highest levels of independence.To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Occupational Therapy (or a related field), a current license from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and a minimum of one year of pediatric or inpatient experience. You must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently. Additionally, you should be knowledgeable in the areas of medical terminology, safety, patient and family education, and patient assessment.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide patient care to adults with physical and emotional disabilities.
2. Consult with other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
3. Maintain a high level of quality care for all patients.
4. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and safety protocols.
5. Assess patients to determine their needs and recommend the best course of treatment.
6. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare providers.
8. Maintain a current license from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
9. Possess knowledge of medical terminology and safety protocols.
