Job Description

We are looking for a Nurse Extern Multi-Unit to join our team at MedStar Health. As a vital part of the patient care team, you will play an integral role in providing exceptional care to our patients. The successful candidate must have a genuine passion for delivering quality patient care and a commitment to the highest standards of service. The ideal candidate will have a current nursing license in the state of Maryland, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. Additionally, they must possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as an eagerness to learn and develop their skills and knowledge. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide quality patient care, ensuring that all patient-related needs are met
  2. Maintain an active nursing license in the state of Maryland
  3. Communicate effectively with patients and other members of the multi-disciplinary team
  4. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
  5. Utilize problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues
  6. Remain current on new and emerging treatments and practices
  7. Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment when necessary
  8. Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
  9. Ensure proper documentation of patient care and assessments
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
