- Perform nuclear medicine procedures and administer radiopharmaceuticals to produce high-quality images and data for patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure patient safety by following established protocols and guidelines for radiation protection.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate and consistent results.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging protocols and techniques.
- Educate and prepare patients for procedures, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Accurately document and record patient information, including medical history, medications, and allergies.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' vital signs and condition during procedures, providing support and reassurance as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Stay current with advances in nuclear medicine technology and techniques, attending training and continuing education opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care and outcomes.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Follow department and organizational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Act as a resource and mentor for other staff and students, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology From An Accredited Program.
Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Nuclear Medicine.
State Licensure As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Center.
Strong Knowledge Of Nuclear Medicine Procedures, Equipment, And Safety Protocols.
