- Conduct diagnostic procedures using nuclear medicine equipment, following established protocols and safety measures.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to physician's orders.
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide appropriate care and support.
- Perform quality control checks on equipment and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of images for diagnosis and treatment.
- Educate patients about the procedure and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Follow proper radiation safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Assist with the scheduling and coordination of procedures.
- Train and supervise new technologists and students.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude at all times.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Program.
Certification From The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist In A Clinical Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Procedures.
