Monitoring Technician

MedStar Health is looking for an experienced Monitoring Technician to join our team. As a Monitoring Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the performance and availability of all computer systems and networks. We are looking for a team player with strong technical and problem-solving skills who can work independently and in collaboration with other IT teams to ensure system performance and availability. The ideal candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. We are looking for an individual with strong communication skills and knowledge of network management tools and databases. Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and maintain the performance and availability of all computer systems and networks.
2. Work independently and in collaboration with other IT teams to ensure system performance and availability.
3. Resolve technical issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
4. Utilize network management tools and databases to identify and troubleshoot problems.
5. Develop scripts in Python and Bash to automate processes and tasks.
6. Implement system updates and upgrades as needed.
7. Assist in the design, development, and installation of new systems and networks.
8. Prepare technical documentation and user manuals.
9. Provide training and technical support to end users.
10. Stay up to date with the latest technology to ensure optimal system performance.
