Medical Assistant - PRN Cardiac Electrophysiology

MedStar Health is seeking an experienced, compassionate Medical Assistant - PRN Cardiac Electrophysiology to join our Cardiac Electrophysiology team. Our ideal candidate will possess a team-oriented attitude with strong technical skills, a commitment to providing excellent patient care, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.This role requires a current certification as a Medical Assistant or Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program, a minimum of 2 years of Medical Assisting experience, and experience in Cardiac Electrophysiology. Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Cardiac Electrophysiology team with clinical duties, such as taking vital signs, collecting and processing specimens, administering medications, and performing EKGs.
2. Maintain patient records in an accurate and up-to-date manner, including documenting patient visits, treatments, medications, and other relevant information.
3. Provide patient education and support related to cardiac electrophysiology procedures and treatments.
4. Assist with scheduling of patient visits and tests, as well as coordinating with other departments and/or providers.
5. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
6. Follow all policies and procedures related to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
7. Provide support and assistance to physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
