- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in an outpatient setting.
- Administer wound care treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess wound healing progress and report any changes or concerns to physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on wound care management and prevention techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Assist physicians during wound care procedures and examinations.
- Keep abreast of current wound care techniques, research, and developments in the field to continually improve patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive healthcare experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
- Adhere to all MedStar Health policies and procedures, including confidentiality and ethical standards.

Current Lpn License: The First And Most Important Qualification For An Lpn In This Role Is A Valid And Up-To-Date Lpn License. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed The Necessary Education And Training To Provide Safe And Effective Care In An Ambulatory Wound Care Setting.
Wound Care Experience: Medstar Health Is Seeking An Lpn With Experience In Wound Care. This Includes Knowledge Of Wound Assessment, Dressing Changes, And Wound Care Management Techniques. Previous Experience In An Ambulatory Wound Care Center Or Similar Setting Is Preferred.
Strong Communication Skills: As An Lpn In An Ambulatory Wound Care Role, Effective Communication Is Essential. This Includes Communicating With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members About Wound Care Plans, Progress, And Any Concerns Or Complications.
Attention To Detail: Wound Care Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail In Order To Properly Assess, Clean, And Dress Wounds. Lpns In This Role Must Be Meticulous And Thorough In Their Work To Ensure Proper Wound Healing And Prevent Infections.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Medstar Health's Ambulatory Wound Care Centers Are Often Fast-Paced And Busy Environments. Lpns In This Role Must Be Able To Work Efficiently And Multitask, While Still Maintaining A High Level Of Quality Care For Their Patients. Flexibility And Adaptability Are Also Important Qualities In This Role.
