- Provide expert wound care to patients in an ambulatory setting.
- Assess and monitor patient wounds, including documenting progress and any changes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention methods.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of wound care supplies.

Valid Lpn License: The First And Most Important Qualification For An Lpn Working In Ambulatory Wound Care At Medstar Health Is A Valid Lpn License. This License Is Obtained Through Completing An Accredited Nursing Program And Passing The National Council Licensure Examination (Nclex).
Wound Care Experience: Medstar Health Is Looking For Lpns With Prior Experience In Wound Care. This Can Include Experience In A Hospital, Clinic, Or Long-Term Care Setting, And A Strong Understanding Of Wound Healing And Care Techniques.
Knowledge Of Wound Care Products: Lpns Working In Ambulatory Wound Care At Medstar Health Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Wound Care Products, Including Dressings, Ointments, And Other Specialized Products. This Knowledge Is Crucial For Providing Appropriate Care And Monitoring Wound Healing Progress.
