  1. Prepare and process samples for testing according to established protocols and procedures.
  2. Perform quality control checks and maintain accurate records of all test results.
  3. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  4. Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  5. Collaborate with laboratory team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  6. Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate test results.
  7. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines in the performance of laboratory duties.
  8. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge of current laboratory techniques and procedures.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by laboratory management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field: Applicants Should Have A Degree In A Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Medical Laboratory Science To Ensure They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills For The Job.

  • Experience In A Laboratory Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Laboratory, Whether Through Internships, Research, Or Employment, Is Highly Desirable As It Demonstrates A Candidate's Familiarity With Lab Procedures And Equipment.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Techniques And Procedures: A Laboratory Assistant Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Scientific Principles And Be Proficient In A Variety Of Laboratory Techniques, Such As Microscopy, Pipetting, And Sample Preparation.

  • Attention To Detail: Laboratory Work Requires A High Level Of Precision And Accuracy, So Candidates Should Have Excellent Attention To Detail And Be Able To Follow Instructions Carefully.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: A Laboratory Assistant Will Often Work As Part Of A Team, So Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For Collaborating With Colleagues And Reporting Findings.
