ICU Clinical Nurse Manager

As a Clinical Nurse Manager in the Intensive Care Unit at MedStar Health, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated nurses and support staff in providing the highest level of care to critically ill or injured patients and their families. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced ICU nurse to have a positive impact on the lives of our patients.We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a critical care nurse, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and current RN licensure in the state of Maryland. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and leadership experience in an ICU setting and demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Our ideal candidate will also be able to provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team of nurses and support staff in providing the highest level of care to critically ill or injured patients and their families.
2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare personnel to ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive, evidence-based care.
3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
4. Manage staff education and training initiatives.
5. Monitor patient outcomes and provide feedback and coaching to staff as needed.
6. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, and payers.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
8. Monitor budget and resource utilization, and provide quality improvement initiatives.
9. Provide compassionate and professional patient-centered care.
10. Participate in performance improvement activities.
