Job Description

Are you an experienced healthcare professional looking to make a difference in the lives of patients? MedStar Health is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Hyperbaric Technician to join our team. If you have the necessary qualifications and a commitment to providing the best care possible, then we want to hear from you!Our Hyperbaric Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) equipment. The ideal candidate has an understanding of hyperbaric medicine, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of providing excellent patient care.To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hyperbaric setting. You must also be a certified Hyperbaric Technologist or have the ability to become certified. Additionally, you must have a commitment to safety, a customer-service mindset, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate and maintain hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) equipment according to safety protocols and industry standards.
  2. Provide excellent patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Monitor patient condition and vitals during therapy.
  4. Follow safety protocols and industry standards in the operation of the HBOT equipment.
  5. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and daily logs.
  6. Educate patients and families on hyperbaric oxygen therapy and its benefits.
  7. Handle equipment maintenance, malfunctions, or repairs in a timely manner.
  8. Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
  9. Develop and maintain positive relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
