  1. Conduct genetic testing and provide counseling to patients and their families.
  2. Evaluate and interpret genetic test results, explaining them in a clear and understandable manner.
  3. Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  4. Support patients in understanding and coping with the emotional, psychological and social implications of genetic information.
  5. Develop personalized care plans based on genetic test results and patient history.
  6. Stay up-to-date on advancements in genetic research and technologies.
  7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for patients.
  8. Educate patients and their families about genetic conditions, inheritance patterns, and available treatment options.
  9. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  10. Provide resources and referrals to support groups and other relevant services.
  11. Participate in research studies and clinical trials related to genetics.
  12. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the practice of genetic counseling.
  13. Serve as a patient advocate and provide emotional support throughout the healthcare journey.
  14. Continuously assess and improve the quality of genetic counseling services.
  15. Attend conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of genetics.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Genetic Counseling From An Accredited Program.

  • Board Certification Or Eligibility For Certification Through The American Board Of Genetic Counseling.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Genetic Counseling, Preferably In A Clinical Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Genetic Principles, Testing, And Counseling Techniques.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Provide Emotional Support And Guidance To Patients And Families.
