1. Prepare and serve meals to patients according to dietary restrictions and menu guidelines.
2. Ensure food is presented in an appetizing and visually appealing manner.
3. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.
4. Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure safety and quality.
5. Assist with inventory management and stock rotation to ensure freshness and availability of food items.
6. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns or special requests.
7. Follow all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
8. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient needs and preferences.
9. Follow established portion control guidelines to minimize waste and maintain cost control.
10. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
11. Collaborate with the nutrition team to ensure patients' dietary needs are met.
12. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required to stay updated on policies, procedures, and menu changes.
13. Follow MedStar Health's code of conduct and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager to support the department's goals and objectives.
