Master's Degree In Nursing: Candidates Applying For A Family Nurse Practitioner Job At Medstar Health Must Have A Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Provides The Necessary Education And Training To Practice As An Advanced Practice Nurse, Including Clinical Skills And Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practice.
Certification As A Family Nurse Practitioner: Medstar Health Requires All Family Nurse Practitioner Candidates To Be Certified By A Recognized National Certification Board, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or The American Academy Of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (Aanpcb). This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Competency And Expertise In The Field Of Family Medicine.
Current State Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted License To Practice As A Nurse Practitioner In The State Where The Medstar Health Facility Is Located.
