- Provide administrative support to the emergency services department, including but not limited to scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and maintaining patient records.
- Assist with triaging and prioritizing patient needs, ensuring that urgent cases are addressed promptly.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth operations within the department.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with necessary information and support during their time in the emergency department.
- Participate in training and educational programs to stay updated on emergency healthcare procedures and protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and patient privacy regulations.
- Monitor and stock inventory of medical supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or malfunctions.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as needed.
- Act as a liaison between the emergency services department and other departments within the hospital to facilitate efficient and effective communication and coordination of care.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For An Emergency Services Support Assistant At Medstar Health Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education To Perform Administrative Tasks.
