
Emergency Preparedness Manager
MedStar Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Emergency Preparedness Manager to join our organization. This individual will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and leading emergency preparedness and response activities to ensure readiness and resilience in the face of disasters and other emergencies. This position requires an individual with a passion for public safety, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of emergency management experience, and a deep understanding of how to manage and coordinate emergency plans, trainings, drills, and exercises. Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and lead emergency preparedness and response activities to ensure readiness and resilience in the face of disasters and other emergencies.
- Create and maintain emergency plans, trainings, drills, and exercises.
- Monitor and assess the organization's emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
- Develop and implement strategies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal emergency management regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to other departments in the organization to ensure their emergency preparedness and response plans are in compliance.
- Oversee the development and implementation of training and education programs for staff and the public on emergency preparedness and response activities.
- Collaborate with other local, state, and federal agencies to ensure effective emergency preparedness and response.
- Develop and coordinate exercises and drills to test the organization's emergency response plans.
- Oversee the maintenance and testing of emergency equipment and supplies.
- Develop and coordinate public awareness campaigns to educate the community on emergency preparedness and response.
