Director of Occupational Therapy & Clinical Informatics

MedStar Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Occupational Therapy & Clinical Informatics. As a crucial member of our healthcare team, the Director will be responsible for developing and managing the Occupational Therapy and Clinical Informatics programs within MedStar Health. The successful candidate will possess a unique blend of clinical and technical experience, combined with outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field, as well as a minimum of five years of experience in clinical practice and management, with a focus on Occupational Therapy. In addition, the candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of clinical informatics concepts, including electronic medical records, clinical data systems, and quality improvement processes. A strong background in program development and project management is also essential. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding quality service to our staff and patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage Occupational Therapy and Clinical Informatics Programs within MedStar Health.
2. Utilize strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills to resolve any issues that arise.
3. Maintain an in-depth understanding of clinical informatics concepts, including electronic medical records, clinical data systems, and quality improvement processes.
4. Demonstrate excellent leadership skills to motivate and inspire the healthcare team.
5. Assist with program development and project management.
6. Ensure that all staff and patients are receiving outstanding quality service.
7. Provide guidance and direction to staff to ensure compliance with MedStar Health policies and procedures.
8. Participate in meetings and conferences to stay current on industry trends and developments.
9. Monitor and analyze program performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
10. Maintain a cohesive working environment that encourages collaboration and teamwork.
