  1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures accurately and efficiently to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  2. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and safety.
  3. Review patient medical history and interpret physician orders to determine appropriate ultrasound techniques.
  4. Communicate with patients in a compassionate and professional manner, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns or questions.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of ultrasound images.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images and test results.
  7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  8. Continuously update knowledge of ultrasound technology and techniques through professional development and training opportunities.
  9. Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ultrasound procedures.
  10. Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  12. Assist in the training and supervision of new sonographers and students.
  13. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care.
  14. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the performance of duties.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program: Applicants Must Have Completed An Accredited Program In Diagnostic Medical Sonography And Hold A Degree Or Certificate In The Field.

  • Ardms Certification: Candidates Must Hold Current Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) Or Be Eligible To Take The Certification Exam.

  • Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology: A Strong Understanding Of Human Anatomy And Physiology Is Essential For Accurately Interpreting And Producing Diagnostic Ultrasound Images.

  • Experience With Various Ultrasound Equipment And Techniques: Candidates Should Have Experience Using A Variety Of Ultrasound Equipment And Techniques, Including Abdominal, Ob/Gyn, And Vascular Sonography.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Must Also Be Able To Explain Procedures And Results To Patients In An Understandable Manner.
