Cytology Preparatory Technician

MedStar Health is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cytology Preparatory Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing specimens for cytology analysis by performing a variety of laboratory tests, including the collection and preparation of specimens for microscopic examination. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of standard laboratory practices and procedures, as well as excellent attention to detail. Required qualifications for the Cytology Preparatory Technician at MedStar Health include: • High school diploma or equivalent • Previous experience performing routine laboratory procedures • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification• Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records • Knowledge of applicable safety procedures and regulations • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
