- Provide timely and effective crisis intervention services to patients experiencing mental health crises.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health and determine appropriate intervention strategies.
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate and stabilize patients in crisis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families/caregivers.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based interventions for crisis intervention.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Serve as an advocate for patients and their mental health needs.
- Respond to crisis situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with community resources and agencies to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Adhere to all MedStar Health policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and interventions.
- Continuously strive to improve the quality of care provided to patients and the community.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Or Related Field, With A Focus On Crisis Intervention.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Providing Crisis Intervention Services In A Healthcare Or Mental Health Setting.
Certification In Crisis Intervention Techniques, Such As Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (Asist) Or Crisis Prevention And Intervention (Cpi).
Strong Knowledge Of Mental Health Disorders And Treatment Options, As Well As Understanding Of Trauma-Informed Care.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively De-Escalate Tense Situations And Build Rapport With Clients In Crisis.
