- Conduct thorough audits of MedStar Health facilities, processes, and procedures to identify any potential compliance issues.
- Investigate and analyze data, documents, and other evidence to determine the extent and cause of any compliance violations.
- Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommendations for corrective action to be presented to management.
- Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare laws and regulations, and communicate any updates or changes to relevant parties.
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance standards.
- Monitor and track compliance activities and progress, and report on compliance metrics to management.
- Act as a resource for employees and management regarding compliance questions and concerns.
- Participate in internal and external compliance audits and assist with the implementation of corrective actions.
- Conduct investigations into reported compliance concerns and allegations, and maintain confidentiality and objectivity throughout the process.
- Communicate any compliance issues or concerns to management and work to develop solutions and preventive measures.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and represent MedStar Health in compliance-related matters.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance activities and investigations.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards and promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
- Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of the compliance program.
Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Compliance Regulations: The Compliance Auditor Investigator Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Healthcare Compliance, Such As Hipaa, Stark Law, And Anti-Kickback Statute.
Experience In Conducting Audits And Investigations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Conducting Compliance Audits And Investigations In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Audit Methodologies, Data Analysis, And Report Writing.
