  1. Conduct thorough audits of MedStar Health facilities, processes, and procedures to identify any potential compliance issues.
  2. Investigate and analyze data, documents, and other evidence to determine the extent and cause of any compliance violations.
  3. Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommendations for corrective action to be presented to management.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  5. Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare laws and regulations, and communicate any updates or changes to relevant parties.
  6. Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance standards.
  7. Monitor and track compliance activities and progress, and report on compliance metrics to management.
  8. Act as a resource for employees and management regarding compliance questions and concerns.
  9. Participate in internal and external compliance audits and assist with the implementation of corrective actions.
  10. Conduct investigations into reported compliance concerns and allegations, and maintain confidentiality and objectivity throughout the process.
  11. Communicate any compliance issues or concerns to management and work to develop solutions and preventive measures.
  12. Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and represent MedStar Health in compliance-related matters.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance activities and investigations.
  14. Uphold the highest ethical standards and promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  15. Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of the compliance program.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Compliance Regulations: The Compliance Auditor Investigator Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Healthcare Compliance, Such As Hipaa, Stark Law, And Anti-Kickback Statute.

  • Experience In Conducting Audits And Investigations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Conducting Compliance Audits And Investigations In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Audit Methodologies, Data Analysis, And Report Writing.

  • Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills: A Compliance Auditor Investigator Must Have Strong Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills To Identify Potential Compliance Issues And Conduct Thorough Investigations. They Should Also Have The Ability To Interpret Data And Identify Trends.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Various Stakeholders, Including Healthcare Providers, Patients, And Regulatory Agencies. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate Complex Compliance Issues And Build Relationships With Key Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Record Systems: Medstar Health Uses Electronic Medical Record Systems To Store Patient Information And Track Healthcare Services. The Compliance Auditor Investigator Should Have A Working Knowledge Of These Systems And Be Able To Extract And Analyze Data From Them During Audits And Investigations.
