- Engage and connect with members of the local community to promote health and wellness initiatives.
- Educate and raise awareness about public health issues and preventative care through various outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to develop and implement health programs and events.
- Serve as a liaison between MedStar Health and the community, building and maintaining relationships to support the organization's mission and goals.
- Identify and address the specific health needs and concerns of the community, including underserved populations.
- Utilize effective communication skills to effectively convey health information and resources to individuals and groups.
- Conduct outreach activities such as health screenings, workshops, and presentations to promote healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices.
- Act as an advocate for community members, providing support and resources to help them navigate the healthcare system.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community health programs, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Stay informed about current public health trends and practices, and use this knowledge to inform and enhance community health initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of community interactions and program outcomes.
- Adhere to ethical standards and always act in the best interest of the community and MedStar Health.
Bachelor's Degree In Public Health, Community Health, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Community Health Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Engage With Diverse Populations.
Knowledge Of Health Disparities And Social Determinants Of Health.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Health Education Programs And Initiatives.
