
Community Dietitian-Pediatrics
We are looking for a passionate and caring Community Dietitian-Pediatrics at MedStar Health to join our team and provide nutrition services to our pediatric community. The ideal candidate should have a commitment to excellent patient care, a passion for helping pediatric patients and their families, and a drive to help them make lasting and meaningful changes to their health and wellbeing. The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field along with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential. In addition, the ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in pediatric nutrition counseling, as well as a familiarity with the state and federal regulations governing the practice of dietetics. Experience in community health programming and health promotion efforts is preferred. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nutrition services to pediatric community members and their families.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Counsel pediatric patients and their families on nutrition and health choices.
- Create health promotion programs and initiatives for the pediatric community.
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ health and nutrition progress.
- Provide education and resources to help patients and families improve their nutrition.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing the practice of dietetics.
- Participate in research and initiatives to improve pediatric nutrition services.
- Remain up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments.
- Maintain accurate records and document patient progress.
