Clinical Supervisor/Athletic Trainer

MedStar Health is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Supervisor/Athletic Trainer to join our team. The successful applicant should be an individual who is highly motivated, organized, and committed to providing superior support, education, and care to our patients.The Clinical Supervisor/Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical and administrative oversight of all Sports Medicine and Athletic Training services within the organization. This position requires exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills in order to ensure that all patients receive the highest quality care. The successful candidate will be organized, patient-oriented, and have a desire to work collaboratively with other team members.The required qualifications for this position include: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field; current certification/licensure in Athletic Training; National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) certification; and minimum of three years of experience in the field of Athletic Training. Knowledge of clinical operations, patient safety, and health care trends is also preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive clinical and administrative oversight of all Sports Medicine and Athletic Training services within the organization • Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate the desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment • Utilize excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills in order to ensure that all patients receive the highest quality care • Remain organized, patient-oriented, and have a desire to work collaboratively with other team members • Provide education and support to patients regarding their injury and treatment plan • Ensure that all Athletic Training services are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards • Monitor clinical operations, patient safety, and health care trends to ensure best practices and quality of care • Maintain current certification/licensure in Athletic Training and National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) certification
