
Cardiology Technician

- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures under the supervision of a cardiologist, including EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide education on the testing process.
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormalities or changes in condition to the cardiologist.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and test results.
- Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay informed on the latest developments in cardiology technology and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Handle and prioritize multiple tasks and procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Education And Training: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. Candidates May Also Be Required To Have Certification From An Accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program.
Experience In Cardiology: Candidates Should Have A Strong Background In Cardiology, Including Knowledge Of Cardiac Diagnostic And Treatment Procedures, Such As Echocardiography, Stress Testing, And Electrocardiography.
Attention To Detail: As A Cardiology Technician, It Is Essential To Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Accuracy. This Includes The Ability To Accurately Interpret Test Results And Record Patient Information.
Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Necessary For This Role, As Cardiology Technicians Work Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals And Patients. Clear Communication Is Vital In Explaining Procedures To Patients And Relaying Important Information To Other Members Of The Healthcare Team.
Technical Skills: Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Various Cardiology Equipment And Technology Is Required For This Position. This Includes Knowledge Of Computer Software Used For Analyzing And Recording Test Results.
