- Conducting individual and group therapy sessions for patients with various mental health and behavioral concerns.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
- Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educating patients and their families about mental health and behavioral health disorders, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Providing crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
- Staying informed about current research and developments in the field of behavioral health and implementing new techniques and interventions as appropriate.
- Maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to ethical guidelines in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Participating in regular supervision and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of best practices within the department.
- Representing MedStar Health and the Behavioral Health department in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Adhering to all organizational policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality, safety, and infection control.
- Demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the job.
- Cultivating positive relationships with patients, families, and community partners to promote MedStar Health's mission and values.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Or Related Field.
Active Licensure As A Behavioral Health Therapist In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Providing Therapy Services In A Clinical Setting.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Therapy Methods And Ability To Implement Them Effectively.
