- Conduct thorough and timely toxicology assessments of our products to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines related to toxicology and product safety.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on potential risks and hazards associated with our products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure toxicology considerations are integrated into product development and launch processes.
- Design and conduct toxicology studies and experiments to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new and existing products.
- Analyze and interpret data from toxicology studies and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in toxicology and apply this knowledge to improve product safety and compliance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies to ensure timely and accurate submission of toxicology-related documentation.
- Train and educate colleagues on toxicology principles and practices to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Participate in risk assessment and management activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential toxicological risks.
Advanced Degree In Toxicology Or Related Field: A Principal Toxicologist At Medline Industries Should Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Toxicology Or A Related Field, Such As Pharmacology Or Environmental Science. A Phd In Toxicology Is Preferred.
Extensive Experience In Toxicological Risk Assessment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience Performing Toxicological Risk Assessments In A Corporate Or Regulatory Setting. This Includes Familiarity With Various Regulatory Requirements And Guidelines, Such As Reach, Tsca, And Clp.
Strong Knowledge Of Toxicology Principles And Methodologies: The Principal Toxicologist Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Toxicology Principles And Methodologies, Including Dose-Response Relationships, Hazard Identification, And Exposure Assessment. They Should Also Be Familiar With Various Types Of Toxicological Testing, Including In Vitro And In Vivo Studies.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Toxicology Team, The Principal Toxicologist Will Be Responsible For Leading And Mentoring Junior Toxicologists. Therefore, Strong Communication, Leadership, And Team-Building Skills Are Essential For This Role.
