
Senior Ethics & Compliance Manager, Labor & Employment

- Develop and implement company-wide ethics and compliance policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to leadership and employees on ethical and compliance matters.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Keep updated on labor and employment laws and regulations and ensure the company's practices are in accordance with them.
- Lead training and educational programs for employees on ethics and compliance topics.
- Act as a liaison with external regulatory agencies and handle any compliance inquiries or investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance requirements are integrated into business processes.
- Monitor and track ethics and compliance metrics and report findings to senior management.
- Investigate and resolve any reported violations of company policies or ethical standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the company's ethics and compliance program.
- Lead by example and promote a culture of integrity and ethical behavior among all employees.
- Manage a team of ethics and compliance professionals and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and resources to stay current on industry best practices.
- Regularly report to senior management on the status of the company's ethics and compliance program.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and changes in labor and employment laws and proactively make recommendations to ensure compliance.
- Identify potential areas for improvement and implement new strategies or processes to enhance the company's ethics and compliance program.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment where employees feel comfortable reporting any ethical concerns or compliance violations.
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are accessible and clearly communicated to all employees.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and other internal stakeholders to resolve any complex compliance issues.
- Represent the company in external events and conferences to promote ethical and compliant business practices.
Extensive Knowledge Of Labor And Employment Laws: The Senior Ethics & Compliance Manager Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Laws Related To Labor And Employment, Including But Not Limited To Equal Employment Opportunity, Wage And Hour Regulations, And Workplace Safety.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Compliance Programs: Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Designing And Implementing Effective Compliance Programs, Including Policies, Procedures, And Training Initiatives, To Ensure Adherence To Labor And Employment Laws.
Strong Communication And Training Skills: This Role Requires Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Train And Educate Employees And Managers On Compliance Requirements And Expectations. The Senior Manager Should Also Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Senior Leadership And External Stakeholders.
Experience In Conducting Investigations: In This Role, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Investigating And Resolving Ethical And Compliance Concerns Related To Labor And Employment Practices. Therefore, Experience In Conducting Thorough And Unbiased Investigations Is Essential.
Leadership And Strategic Thinking: The Senior Manager Should Have Experience In Leading And Managing A Team, As Well As The Ability To Think Strategically And Provide Guidance And Recommendations On Complex Labor And Employment Issues. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure.
