
Assistant General Counsel, Employment

- Provide expert legal advice and support on employment matters to the company's global organization.
- Collaborate with the legal team and business leaders to develop and implement effective employment policies and procedures.
- Conduct research and analysis of employment laws and regulations in various jurisdictions to ensure compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements, including employment contracts, severance agreements, and non-compete agreements.
- Advise and assist in the resolution of employment-related disputes and litigation.
- Stay up-to-date on current and emerging employment law trends and provide proactive counsel to mitigate potential risks.
- Develop and deliver training programs on employment law topics to educate employees and managers.
- Participate in the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives within the company.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure consistent application of employment policies and procedures.
- Provide support and guidance for mergers and acquisitions as it relates to employment matters.
- Manage relationships with external counsel and oversee their work on employment-related matters.
- Maintain accurate and organized legal records and documentation related to employment matters.
- Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations and make recommendations for updates to company policies and procedures as needed.
- Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with government agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executives on employment law matters, providing strategic guidance to support the company's success.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Employment Law, Preferably In A Top-Tier Law Firm Or In-House Legal Department
Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Employment Laws And Regulations, Including Discrimination, Harassment, And Wage And Hour Laws
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Provide Practical And Strategic Legal Advice
Demonstrated Experience In Managing A Wide Range Of Employment-Related Matters, Including Investigations, Litigation, And Compliance Issues.
