Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Employment to join our legal team and help us navigate the ever-changing landscape of employment laws and regulations.   1. Conduct thorough research and analysis of current and evolving employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks for the company.
  2. Provide legal counsel and guidance to the HR department and management on all employment-related matters, including but not limited to recruitment, hiring, performance management, employee relations, and termination.
  3. Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements, contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with the company's values and goals.
  4. Develop and deliver trainings and workshops to educate employees and managers on relevant employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  5. Oversee and manage employment-related litigation, including drafting and filing legal documents, conducting discovery, and representing the company in court.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the legal team and cross-functional departments to provide comprehensive and strategic legal solutions to complex employment issues.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in employment law and provide proactive advice to the company on potential impacts and opportunities.
  8. Build and maintain relationships with external legal counsel, government agencies, and industry associations to stay informed and influence policy changes and developments.
  9. Proactively identify and address potential employment-related risks and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate them.
  10. Uphold and promote the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of employment law and practices.
  11. Conduct internal investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions in response to employee complaints or concerns.
  12. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for the company's leadership and employees on employment law matters.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of all legal matters and provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership as needed.
  14. Collaborate with the legal team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  15. Represent the company in external forums and events as a thought leader and advocate for best practices in employment law and diversity and inclusion.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Admission To The Bar In At Least One State.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Employment Law, Preferably In A Large Law Firm Or Corporate Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Employment Laws And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication, Negotiation, And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Provide Strategic Legal Advice And Counsel To Senior Executives.
