Packaging Mechanic

Perform equipment setups for all packaging equipment. Timely failure diagnosis, trouble-shooting, and repair of all packaging equipment in a Multi-Skilled environment. Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform minor electrical repairs to packaging equipment. Provide technical assistance to Production. Rebuild equipment and components on a routine basis Modify packaging equipment when necessary to improve performance and reliability. Work additional hours, during other days or shifts, as needed Perform duties and fulfill responsibilities using proper methods that prevent and in no way contribute to product contamination. Perform duties and fulfill responsibilities using safe techniques, procedures, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Operate all packaging equipment, required tools, vehicles and computers necessary to trouble-shoot and repair. Keep maintenance records using the MAXIMO computerized maintenance system, forms, and work orders. Communicate effectively and professionally with other technicians and personnel, verbally and electronically, in order to efficiently work as a team to repair and maintain all packaging equipment, and in order to inform customers and others affected by maintenance activities.
