Tax Accountant

Supporting tax management and third-party consultants in preparation and filing of federal and state/local tax filings: including gathering data, preparing calculations and facilitating the process. Management of State tax audits and notices including gathering information, responding to document requests, drafting filing position memos. Preparing Federal and State tax depreciation calculations using Oracle software. For financial statement reporting, work with manager to prepare the Company’s computations US tax projections on a quarterly and year-end basis. This includes Federal Schedule M’s, State/local provision calculations, FIN48 analysis. Responsible for preparation and coordination of filing annual reports, business licenses, Form 1042 reporting and other filings. Assist in the presentation of US Federal and State/local tax info/trends to the Tax Accounting Group, the VP of Tax, and to outside advisors. Perform tax research and document tax positions taken for tax reporting purposes and review/update the Company’s process memos.
