Research, define and articulate key elements of an effective information governance program. Perform a fit/gap assessment on current standards and policies to find opportunities for policy refinement and enhancement. Refine existing /develop new polices outlining critical information governance practices (e.g., data classification, data flows, data inventory, data security and privacy, etc.). Outline and define the required roles and responsibilities to support effective information governance accountabilities in the wider organization, including data owners and data stewards. Train and communicate roles and responsibilities to data owners and data stewards via risk and policy assessment on new and existing data initiatives and program. Ensure data artifacts such as data flows, process diagrams, and data inventories are developed by key partners to ensure data is appropriately classified and secured. Support global project teams to address policy questions and help interpret and outline effective information governance practices.
