Incident Response Analyst, Cybersecurity Operations Detection & Response - Global SOC L3 Response

1. Monitor and analyze security events and incidents in real-time, identifying potential threats and taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
2. Respond to security incidents and breaches, following established protocols and procedures to contain and remediate the threat.
3. Conduct detailed investigations into security incidents, gathering and analyzing evidence to determine the root cause and impact of the incident.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and legal, to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents.
5. Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures, regularly reviewing and updating them to ensure they align with current industry best practices.
6. Provide regular updates and reports on security incidents and trends to senior management and other key stakeholders.
7. Stay current on emerging cyber threats and technologies, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills to effectively respond to new and evolving threats.
8. Conduct tabletop exercises and simulations to test and improve incident response plans and procedures.
9. Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 incident response support when needed.
10. Mentor and train junior analysts on incident response processes and procedures.
11. Identify and recommend areas for improvement in security controls and processes to prevent future incidents.
12. Work closely with third-party vendors and partners to investigate and resolve security incidents.
13. Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to incident response and data privacy.
14. Act as a subject matter expert on incident response processes and procedures, providing guidance and support to other members of the cybersecurity team.
15. Contribute to the overall security posture of the organization by actively identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
