Job Description

Are you a seasoned professional with strong vendor management experience? Do you have a passion for driving operational efficiencies and cost savings through effective vendor partnerships? If so, McDonald's Corporation is seeking a dynamic Director for our Vendor Management Office. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts for all goods and services across our global organization. We are looking for a strategic thinker with exceptional communication and leadership skills who can drive results and build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive vendor management strategy that aligns with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  2. Lead and manage a team responsible for all aspects of vendor management, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.
  3. Drive cost savings and operational efficiencies through effective vendor partnerships and contract negotiations.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure vendor contracts meet those needs.
  5. Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  6. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in vendor management to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services from vendors.
  8. Develop and maintain a network of trusted vendors, conducting regular reviews and evaluations to ensure the highest quality products and services are being provided.
  9. Communicate effectively with vendors to establish expectations, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  10. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on vendor performance, cost savings, and key initiatives.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  12. Act as a role model and leader for the Vendor Management Office team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the vendor management function.
  14. Represent McDonald's Corporation in a professional and positive manner at all times, both internally and externally.
