
Director, Government Relations
McDonald's Corporation is looking for an experienced and motivated Director of Government Relations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in government relations and public policy related to the food industry, as well as a deep understanding of the political landscape in which McDonald's operates. We are seeking a highly organized, diplomatic, and strategic professional who is able to develop and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders at the local, state, and federal level. The successful candidate will have an impressive portfolio of accomplishments in government relations and public policy, and be dedicated to advocating for McDonald's in the public arena.Required Qualifications:-At least 7 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field-Knowledge of the food industry and the political landscape-Excellent communication and relationship management skills-Must be highly organized and have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously-Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills-Ability to work independently and as part of a team-Bachelor's degree in a related field
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of government.
- Advocate for McDonald's in the public arena.
- Monitor and analyze legislative and political developments that may affect McDonald's.
- Develop and implement strategies to support McDonald's objectives.
- Represent McDonald's at government meetings and hearings.
- Develop and manage relationships with industry associations.
- Prepare and deliver presentations at government and industry meetings.
- Coordinate and manage the activities of internal and external resources.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with media representatives.
- Analyze and report on the impact of public policy and legislation on McDonald's.
