
Director, Crisis Management
McDonald's Corporation is looking for an experienced Director of Crisis Management to join our Leadership Team. In this role, you will be the go-to person when it comes to crisis management, communications and awareness. This is a critical role that requires you to stay ahead of the curve and lead the way in protecting the reputation of McDonald's and our customers. Your proactive approach and dedication to the mission of McDonald's will ensure the success of our business.The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in crisis management, public relations and communications. They must also have a proven track record of effectively managing and mitigating risks. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to think quickly in high-pressure situations. An understanding of the legal implications of crisis management and communication is also required. The successful candidate must be able to lead and inspire a team, while also being a great collaborator who can work closely with other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies and protocols to prevent and mitigate risks for McDonald’s and our customers.
- Develop and execute crisis communication plans and processes.
- Monitor internal and external communications and respond to issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Lead and manage a team of crisis management professionals.
- Remain up-to-date on legal and regulatory requirements related to crisis management and communications.
- Research and analyze industry trends and best practices in crisis management.
- Identify potential crises and develop strategies to respond to them.
- Develop and maintain a library of crisis management resources.
- Provide direction and guidance to the team during crisis situations.
