Job Description

McCormick & Company is looking for an experienced and motivated Process Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be a highly organized, technical individual who is able to work independently, as well as collaboratively, to ensure our projects are completed efficiently and accurately. They must have strong communication and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to work with multiple teams and departments.The ideal applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience as a process controls engineer; experience in the food industry is preferred. They must have a strong understanding of automation systems, process control systems, and instrumentation. Additionally, they must have experience working with PLCs, HMI, and SCADA systems. The successful candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement automation systems, process control systems, and instrumentation.
  2. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  3. Monitor processes and equipment to ensure they are running efficiently and accurately.
  4. Collaborate with multiple teams and departments to ensure projects are completed on time.
  5. Research and analyze new methods and technologies to improve process controls.
  6. Write technical instructions and documentation, and provide training as needed.
  7. Create and maintain databases and reports.
  8. Monitor safety standards and compliance regulations.
  9. Develop and maintain processes and procedures related to process control.
